Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ForgottenServices (the "Service"), operated by us. By creating an account, configuring a server, or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What we provide

ForgottenServices sells month-to-month Minecraft server hosting. When you purchase a plan, we provision a virtual private server on third-party infrastructure (currently Hetzner Cloud) pre-configured to run your chosen Minecraft server software (Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Folia, Vanilla, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or Mohist). Connection details are emailed to you on successful checkout.

2. Account responsibility

You are responsible for the security of your account, your password, and any activity on servers you create. You must provide a valid email address. One person per account.

3. Payment and billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Your card is charged on purchase and again on each renewal date until you cancel.

4. Cancellation and refund policy

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON, including but not limited to: change of mind, accidental purchase, dissatisfaction with the Service, inability to connect, software incompatibility, unused portion of the billing period, or partial-month cancellation.

When you cancel a subscription, you retain access to your server until the end of the current paid billing period. At that time, the server and all associated data are permanently destroyed. We do not prorate, credit, or refund any portion of a paid period.

Chargebacks, card disputes, and payment reversals initiated without first contacting support may result in immediate account termination and blacklisting.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Host, distribute, or facilitate distribution of pirated or copyright-infringing content;
• Run DDoS attacks, botnets, cryptocurrency mining, spam relays, or any process unrelated to a Minecraft server;
• Host content that is illegal in the United States or the Commonwealth of Virginia, including but not limited to CSAM, terrorism-related content, or content that promotes violence;
• Harass, threaten, or dox other users or players;
• Exceed the resources (RAM, CPU, disk, bandwidth) of your plan through abuse or deliberate stress-testing.

Violations may result in immediate server termination and account ban with no refund.

6. Data and backups

We do not guarantee backups of your world files. You are solely responsible for backing up your server data. Server destruction on cancellation is permanent and irreversible.

7. Uptime and availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We target high uptime but make no guarantees. Outages of the underlying infrastructure provider (Hetzner) are outside our control and do not entitle you to a refund.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForgottenServices shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of players, loss of revenue, or loss of enjoyment. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and servers at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. No refund will be issued on termination for cause.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
